Copies of both should be sent to the Museum 2 weeks before the event.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Final payment and $300 security deposit sent to the Museum 30 Days before event date.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-lake-color has-text-color\" id=\"h-faqs\">FAQs<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"block__mariners-accordion\" data-component=\"accordion\">\n\t<div class=\"accordion-heading is-size-small\">\n\t\t<h3>\n\t\t\t<button type=\"button\" aria-expanded=\"false\">\n\t\t\t\tWhat are the steps to plan an event in the Museum or Park?\t\t\t<\/button>\n\t\t<\/h3>\n\t<\/div>\n\n\t<div class=\"accordion-content\" role=\"region\">\n\t\t\n\n<p>It all starts with your space. If you\u2019re unfamiliar with our site, you\u2019re encouraged to schedule a complimentary rental tour to view our venues. Once you know the space you\u2019d like to rent we will need the event information to begin drafting your agreements.<\/p>\n\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"block__mariners-accordion\" data-component=\"accordion\">\n\t<div class=\"accordion-heading is-size-small\">\n\t\t<h3>\n\t\t\t<button type=\"button\" aria-expanded=\"false\">\n\t\t\t\tHow can I reserve an event space and date?\t\t\t<\/button>\n\t\t<\/h3>\n\t<\/div>\n\n\t<div class=\"accordion-content\" role=\"region\">\n\t\t\n\n<p>If you would like to reserve an indoor venue, we require a finalized contract, signed Policies &amp; Procedures agreement, refundable security deposit, and 50% of your rental fee to hold your event. If your event is within 30 days of a finalized contract, the aforementioned and 100% of your fee is due to hold your event. All park venues are reserved by supplying signed agreements, Beautification Fee, and 100% of the rental fee.<\/p>\n\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"block__mariners-accordion\" data-component=\"accordion\">\n\t<div class=\"accordion-heading is-size-small\">\n\t\t<h3>\n\t\t\t<button type=\"button\" aria-expanded=\"false\">\n\t\t\t\tHow is the security deposit managed?\t\t\t<\/button>\n\t\t<\/h3>\n\t<\/div>\n\n\t<div class=\"accordion-content\" role=\"region\">\n\t\t\n\n<p>Facility rentals require a security deposit, refundable depending upon any damages sustained to Museum property or additional services rendered. Park rentals require a non-refundable Park Beautification Fee that is applied in an effort to preserve our Park. The Mariners\u2019 Museum and Park is a privately owned and maintained institution that receives no federal, state, or city funding. Please let us know if you are interested in donating your security deposit as a tax deductible gift to our annual fund in an effort to enhance our venues.<\/p>\n\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"block__mariners-accordion\" data-component=\"accordion\">\n\t<div class=\"accordion-heading is-size-small\">\n\t\t<h3>\n\t\t\t<button type=\"button\" aria-expanded=\"false\">\n\t\t\t\tWhat time can my event start and end?\t\t\t<\/button>\n\t\t<\/h3>\n\t<\/div>\n\n\t<div class=\"accordion-content\" role=\"region\">\n\t\t\n\n<p>Facility event start times vary by the space rented; all facility events must end by 11:00 p.m. Park event times vary by length of rental.<\/p>\n\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"block__mariners-accordion\" data-component=\"accordion\">\n\t<div class=\"accordion-heading is-size-small\">\n\t\t<h3>\n\t\t\t<button type=\"button\" aria-expanded=\"false\">\n\t\t\t\tDoes the Museum provide furniture for my event?\t\t\t<\/button>\n\t\t<\/h3>\n\t<\/div>\n\n\t<div class=\"accordion-content\" role=\"region\">\n\t\t\n\n<p>Facility events include the use of Museum furniture, listed below. No Museum furniture is provided for Park events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>200 padded chairs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 4-foot round tables<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>25 5-foot round tables<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>10 6-foot banquet tables<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>15 8-foot banquet tables<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>9 hightop tables<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 portable wet bar<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 portable podium<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Coat racks, easels, yard sign stakes, and other various items are also available. Please discuss any and all needs with the Venue Coordinator.<\/p>\n\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"block__mariners-accordion\" data-component=\"accordion\">\n\t<div class=\"accordion-heading is-size-small\">\n\t\t<h3>\n\t\t\t<button type=\"button\" aria-expanded=\"false\">\n\t\t\t\tDoes the Museum provide any setup\/break down service?\t\t\t<\/button>\n\t\t<\/h3>\n\t<\/div>\n\n\t<div class=\"accordion-content\" role=\"region\">\n\t\t\n\n<p>Museum staff will set up and break down all Museum provided furniture at no additional cost. Set up and break down of anything not provided by the Museum falls under the responsibility of the rental client.<\/p>\n\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"block__mariners-accordion\" data-component=\"accordion\">\n\t<div class=\"accordion-heading is-size-small\">\n\t\t<h3>\n\t\t\t<button type=\"button\" aria-expanded=\"false\">\n\t\t\t\tWhat options are there for parking?\t\t\t<\/button>\n\t\t<\/h3>\n\t<\/div>\n\n\t<div class=\"accordion-content\" role=\"region\">\n\t\t\n\n<p>The Museum and some Park areas provide free self-parking to all event participants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For directions to the Museum, click&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.marinersmuseum.org\/plan-your-visit\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"block__mariners-accordion\" data-component=\"accordion\">\n\t<div class=\"accordion-heading is-size-small\">\n\t\t<h3>\n\t\t\t<button type=\"button\" aria-expanded=\"false\">\n\t\t\t\tWhat is the Museum&#8217;s catering policy?\t\t\t<\/button>\n\t\t<\/h3>\n\t<\/div>\n\n\t<div class=\"accordion-content\" role=\"region\">\n\t\t\n\n<p>All ceremonial cake or cupcakes may be obtained from any vendor. All food and beverages for facility events must be provided by a caterer from the Museum\u2019s Approved Caterers List. Park events may provide their own food and beverages.<\/p>\n\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"block__mariners-accordion\" data-component=\"accordion\">\n\t<div class=\"accordion-heading is-size-small\">\n\t\t<h3>\n\t\t\t<button type=\"button\" aria-expanded=\"false\">\n\t\t\t\tAre there any restrictions on vendors or entertainers?\t\t\t<\/button>\n\t\t<\/h3>\n\t<\/div>\n\n\t<div class=\"accordion-content\" role=\"region\">\n\t\t\n\n<p>You are free to utilize services from any event rental, musical entertainment, transportation service, etc. All vendors are subject to Protection Services approval.<\/p>\n\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"block__mariners-accordion\" data-component=\"accordion\">\n\t<div class=\"accordion-heading is-size-small\">\n\t\t<h3>\n\t\t\t<button type=\"button\" aria-expanded=\"false\">\n\t\t\t\tCan we serve alcohol at our event?\t\t\t<\/button>\n\t\t<\/h3>\n\t<\/div>\n\n\t<div class=\"accordion-content\" role=\"region\">\n\t\t\n\n<p>Yes. If the alcohol is not being served by the approved caterer, it is the clients\u2019 responsibility to provide proper ABC licensing at least (15) days prior to the event in order to insure the service provider.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Proper licensing can be obtained <a href=\"https:\/\/www.abc.virginia.gov\/licenses\/get-a-license\/banquet-licenses\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"block__mariners-accordion\" data-component=\"accordion\">\n\t<div class=\"accordion-heading is-size-small\">\n\t\t<h3>\n\t\t\t<button type=\"button\" aria-expanded=\"false\">\n\t\t\t\tWhat other costs are associated with Museum and Park rentals?\t\t\t<\/button>\n\t\t<\/h3>\n\t<\/div>\n\n\t<div class=\"accordion-content\" role=\"region\">\n\t\t\n\n<p>We require Event Liability Insurance naming The Mariners\u2019 Museum and Park as an additional insured on the policy, available through any insurance company, for all Museum and Park events. Proper coverage amounts can be found in your rental contract.<\/p>\n\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"block__mariners-accordion\" data-component=\"accordion\">\n\t<div class=\"accordion-heading is-size-small\">\n\t\t<h3>\n\t\t\t<button type=\"button\" aria-expanded=\"false\">\n\t\t\t\tWill the Museum be open for guests to tour?\t\t\t<\/button>\n\t\t<\/h3>\n\t<\/div>\n\n\t<div class=\"accordion-content\" role=\"region\">\n\t\t\n\n<p>Daytime event guests are always welcome to enjoy the Museum free of charge. In the evening, the USS&nbsp;<em>Monitor<\/em>&nbsp;Center, the Museum Main Loop, or both can be left accessible to guests during your event for an additional fee.
